Outside Pedestrian is returning to The Drum Lab in Laguna Hills! We will be reprising our clinic and workshop from last year. From 4-5pm, Outside Pedestrian will be presenting a clinic in which they will perform and discuss several of their compositions and from 5pm-7pm, workshop participants will have the opportunity to perform a selected standard with the band and receive feedback.

We had a great time performing for the Drum Lab audience and interacting with the students at the workshop during our recent event in Laguna Hills! We are looking forward to the next one. In the mean time, here are some highlights. Enjoy!

Outside Pedestrian is proud to be presenting an interactive clinic and jazz workshop at the Drum Lab in Laguna Hills! Presentations during the clinic will include supporting compositions, soloing over form, and effective use of dynamics. During the workshop participants will have the opportunity to perform a selected standard with the band and receive feedback. Joining the band for both the clinic and the workshop will be special guest, acclaimed jazz pianist and Orange County music scene fixture Ron Kobayashi!
The Clinic will be from 3p-4p and the workshop will be from 4:30pm-5:30pm.

We are pleased to announce a second performance at this year’s “Jazz at the Pollock” series at College of the Desert: Friday, February 19th, 2016. Outside Pedestrian guitarist Dr. Anthony Fesmire and colleague Dr. Kelly Corbin, who contributed saxophone to the “Reclaimed” record, will be featured along with pianist Dan Waddell. All three will be performing and discussing original compositions, including several heard on “Reclaimed.” Rounding out the group: Outside Pedestrian’s rhythm section of David Lockeretz and David Oromaner. We are proud to announce that guitarist Dr. Anthony Fesmire of Outside Pedestrian and tenor saxophonist Dr. Kelly Corbin, who can be heard on the “Reclaimed” record, will be featured on Friday, November 13th, 2015. The concert will pay tribute to great saxophone/guitar duos in jazz history, including music by Pat Metheny, Jim Hall, John Scofield, Joe Henderson, Mike Stern and more. Accompanying Fesmire and Corbin will be Outside Pedestrian’s own rhythm section of David Lockeretz and David Oromaner.
